“I want to raise awareness and advocate for domestic workers, to educate others about their rights, to be treated with dignity and fairness.”
Biography
My name is Rosemarie from Cavite, in the Philippines, and I’m 38 years old. I did not graduate from college because of our financial problems. When I turned 18, I started to work in a factory as a machine operator, and then later became a seamstress in a garment factory. As my father was getting older, I decided to work abroad with the hopes that I could find a better life and continue to help my family. I have become an active member of The Voice of Domestic Workers since 2017. I am part of the Fundraising Group that intends to raise money to support our charity. Losing hope will not help you to succeed. Never give up on your dreams.
