Future Voices Revolution

Migrant domestic workers are one of the most vulnerable groups of workers. The removal of our rights under the Overseas Domestic Worker visa in 2012 has left us unprotected, powerless and in severely exploitative work conditions. Given the current context, it has never been more important to hear directly from migrant domestic workers in our own words and in our own ways. It is migrant domestic workers that can offer the solutions for the change that is needed. We are the leaders – our voices just need to be heard.

Future Voices Revolution is a new programme run and led in-house by The Voice of Domestic Workers, developing on the successes of the three year Future Voices programme in partnership with Sounddelivery Media. As the alumni of the original programme, we are building a network of empowered public spokespeople ready to advocate for migrant domestic workers’ rights confidently and powerfully. This new six month programme will run from June 2025 until January 2026, during which we will be taking our learnings from the original programme even further. Our network will become embedded, active leaders within The Voice of Domestic Workers, campaign for the change we want to see, and continue the fight for migrant domestic workers’ rights.
