Biography
My name is Sarah, and I am 40 years old, born in Maguindanao, Philippines. I once dreamed of becoming a teacher, but due to financial difficulties, I was only able to finish secondary school.
In 2007, I became an Overseas Filipino Worker and worked in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar to support my family and give them a better life. Living and working away from home was challenging, but every sacrifice taught me strength, resilience, and determination.
I eventually came to the UK and became a member of VODW in October 2025. Through VODW and Future Voices Revolution 2, I gained new skills, knowledge, and confidence. I learned to overcome my fears, believe in myself, and recognise my own potential.
Today, I am proud of how far I have come. My journey has taught me that it is never too late to learn, grow, and start again. Life may not always follow our plans, but every struggle and experience can make us stronger and shape who we become.
