Biography
I come from a small island in the Philippines, where life was simple and opportunities were limited. However, I grew up believing that my dreams could take me beyond what I could see. My journey brought me to the UK as a domestic worker, where I faced both challenges and experiences that taught me the true meaning of courage, resilience, and solidarity. Instead of allowing these difficult experiences to silence me, I chose to transform them into strength and use my voice to advocate for the dignity, rights, and fair treatment of domestic workers.
Through my involvement with The Voice of Domestic Workers, I have discovered not only a community but also a sense of purpose. I strive to stand alongside others, inspire those who feel unheard, and help build a future where every domestic worker is respected, valued, and treated with dignity.
Hafidah
I choose to keep learning, growing, and becoming stronger through everything life brings. I choose courage to speak up, stand for myself, and use my experiences to help others who may be going through difficult times. I believe that no matter where we come from, we all deserve a chance to hope, grow, and build a better life.
