I am a woman with a voice — a voice that carries the strength of my experiences and the dreams of those who cannot speak for themselves. I am determined to raise my voice high and clear, so that those who live in silence, those without a voice, can finally be heard, seen, and valued. Together, our voices become a powerful call for justice and change.

Biography

My name is Ghie-Ghie. I am a domestic worker, but more than that, I am a spokesperson and a fearless advocate for The Voice of Domestic Workers. Since joining VODW in 2015, my life has been dedicated to standing up for those who suffer in silence. I have helped rescue fellow domestic workers who, like me, fled from abusive employers — guiding them from fear to safety, from despair to hope.

Every story I hear, every person I help, strengthens my resolve. I am not afraid to speak out — not afraid to raise my voice where it matters most. I have stood on the frontline, demanding justice and dignity from the Home Office. I have taken the stories of my sisters and brothers in this community all the way to Parliament, lobbying for policies that protect us and fight for our rights.

This journey has not been easy, but it has been my purpose. I carry the pain of those who were silenced, and the hopes of those who still wait to be heard.

Now, I am honoured to join the Future Voices Revolution 2025. This is more than a programme — it is a powerful platform for growth, learning, and leadership. I see it as a new chapter to deepen my knowledge, sharpen my skills, and become an even stronger voice for domestic workers everywhere.

I want to continue being a beacon of courage and change — inspiring others to find their strength, to tell their stories, and to stand united. Together, through Future Voices, we will amplify our voices louder than ever before, ensuring that no domestic worker is left unheard, invisible, or forgotten.
