As I pause and look back on the past three years, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude and a deep sense of fulfillment. What began as a simple pursuit of work turned into a life-changing journey—one that tested my resilience, shaped my character, and allowed me to discover strengths I didn’t know I had. These years as a domestic worker have been more than a chapter in my story; they have been a profound season of growth, courage, and transformation.
The road was never easy. There were nights when the silence of homesickness echoed louder than words, and days when the weight of longing for my family, especially my daughter, felt almost unbearable. Yet, in every moment of difficulty, I found within myself a new kind of strength—one born out of perseverance and the will to keep moving forward. Every challenge I faced taught me lessons that went beyond skills; they taught me patience, humility, and the importance of believing in myself.

At the same time, this journey was filled with victories—some small, some life-changing. I remember the pride of mastering tasks that once felt impossible, the joy of building trust and meaningful relationships, and the comfort of knowing that even in a foreign place, I could create a sense of belonging. Each achievement, no matter how simple, added a brick to the foundation of the person I am today: stronger, braver, and more prepared to face the unknown.
Now, as I stand on the threshold of a new chapter, I feel both excitement and peace. I carry with me not only the practical skills I’ve gained but also the invaluable lessons of resilience, gratitude, and self-belief. These experiences have given me the confidence to embrace whatever lies ahead, knowing that I am capable of adapting, growing, and thriving wherever life leads me.
To VODW, I extend my deepest thanks. You did not just give me a place to work—you gave me a second home. You treated me not only with respect but with genuine warmth and care, embracing me as one of your own. During moments when I missed my family most, your kindness and encouragement reminded me that I was not alone. For this, I will be forever grateful.
To my friends who walked beside me on this journey, thank you for being my companions through the highs and lows. You celebrated my small victories, lifted me when I stumbled, and filled my days with laughter and unforgettable memories. Your friendship has been a light in my life, turning struggles into shared strength and loneliness into joy.
These three years will always hold a special place in my heart. They were not just years of work, but years of becoming—becoming stronger, wiser, and more resilient. VODW has been more than a workplace; it has been a community where I learned the value of kindness, compassion, and support.
As I move forward, I do so with immense gratitude and hope. I look ahead with courage, ready to embrace change, to chase new opportunities, and to continue growing into the best version of myself.
Here’s to new beginnings, to the courage to dream bigger, and to a future filled with endless possibilities.
