A Journey of Growth and Gratitude with VODW

I am truly grateful to be part of The Voice of Domestic Workers (VODW)—a community that has given me opportunities for growth and development that I never imagined possible. When I first joined, I thought it would be just about attending classes or training sessions. But what I discovered was something far greater: life-changing experiences filled with joy, friendship, and empowerment.

Every session, every gathering, and every activity has given me the chance to learn, to laugh, and to grow. With VODW, I have discovered strengths I never knew I had. I’ve learned to push myself beyond my limits and to embrace new challenges with courage. More importantly, I have built unforgettable memories—moments that continue to inspire me and remind me of how far I have come.

Being part of this family has also connected me with people who share the same struggles and dreams. We are like-minded individuals walking the same path, and together, we support one another. We share our stories, our fears, and our victories. We lift each other when we stumble and celebrate together when we succeed. These bonds we’ve formed are more than friendships—they are lifelong connections, and the memories we’ve created together will stay in my heart forever.

But my gratitude does not stop there. VODW has been more than just a place of learning and belonging—it has been a lifeline. Without this organization, I don’t know how I would have managed the overwhelming process of paperwork or understood my rights as a migrant domestic worker. Navigating life in a foreign land can be lonely and difficult, but VODW has guided me through the confusion and uncertainty with patience and dedication.

The organization has been a constant source of strength and light.

Their tireless dedication, unwavering commitment, and persistent efforts remind me that I am not alone. They have shown me that my voice matters, my rights matter, and my dreams matter. They have not only given me the tools to stand up for myself but also the courage to believe in my worth.

Because of VODW, I now feel empowered and confident. I carry within me the courage to move forward, the determination to fight for my rights, and the hope of building a brighter and more secure future. VODW is more than an organization—it is a second home, a family that has embraced me, supported me, and helped me find strength in my journey.

For all of this, I say thank you—from the bottom of my heart—to my VODW family. Thank you for being my guide, my support, and my source of inspiration. Thank you for reminding me that even in the hardest times, there is always hope.
